My Hydration Journey

I was diagnosed with an autoimmune thyroid condition in my mid forties, I felt like I was walking through quicksand I was so fatigued. I felt like my body was not responding to my typical health routines and this sense of my health being out of my control as I was entering the perimenopausal years was really scary.

I tried everything, more exercise, more sleep, more social connection. Nothing worked. I was determined to heal myself and started to learn everything I could about how to support my body and fluctuating hormones through intake including nutrition and hydration. At the time I was
drinking so many blended herbs to support liver detoxification and hormone metabolism that my teeth were literally stained green. Over time and learning how my body responded to different hydration practices, I have created a 24 hour guideline for hydration to decrease inflammation and improve energy and mental clarity.

This is about slow health, to notice cues and energy changes in your body.
A way to move from being a recipient of menopause care into an author of your perimenopausal
health story.
